KUOK FOUNDATION POSTGRADUATE SCHOLARSHIPS

I. Conditions

1.	Applicants must be Malaysian Citizens.
2.	Age of M.Sc. candidates – not more than 30 years Age of Ph.D candidates – not more than 35 years
3.	Qualifications for M.Sc. candidates – Bachelor’s Degree with at least a Second Class Upper Honours or CGPA of 3.5 and above in the relevant fields.
4.	Qualifications for Ph.D candidates – Master’s Degree in relevant fields or Bachelor’s Degree with First Class Honours or CGPA of 3.7 and above in the relevant fields.
5.	Applicants must not be bonded to or be in receipt of any financial aids or awards from other organizations/institutions at time of application.
6.	Upon completion of studies, the scholars must remain in Malaysia to work for the public or private sector for a minimum period of 3 years for M.Sc. and 5 years for Ph.D.
7.	The research area proposed must be relevant to Malaysia’s needs.
8.	Shortlisted candidates may be required to give a short presentation of their research proposal.

II. Procedure For Application

Applicants must enclose certified copies of the following documents:

(a)	Acceptance letter for the postgraduate program (if available) or Recommendation letter from a potential supervisor
(b)	Summary of research proposal (not exceeding 4 pages)
(c)	Detailed results of the Master's degree if applicable
(d)	Detailed results of Bachelor's degree
(e)	SPM, STPM or its equivalent
(f)	Record of extra curricular activities in school and record of academic/non-academic prizes/awards won
(g)	Applicant's NRIC and Birth Certificate

If the abovementioned documents are not immediately available, please explain why and submit them within one (1) month from the closing date for application. Applicant's name and university must be stated when submitting these documents.
Please note that all documents submitted will not be returned to applicants regardless of the outcome of their applications. Incomplete applications will be disqualified.

All applications must be made on the official application forms of the Foundation. Completed forms should be received by the Foundation’s office on or before the closing date at the following address:
