A. For Malaysian Public and Singapore Public Universities

Eligibility

Applicants who are applying for or currently pursuing a first degree full-time and on-campus at any one of the Malaysian and Singapore universities are eligible to apply. This means students doing off campus / twinning / franchised courses / distance learning courses from these universities are not eligible.

Announcement

Will be announced in the local news media soon after the release of STPM results.

Application Forms

Application forms can be downloaded from here or obtained from the Kuok Foundation’s office.

All applications must be submitted before the closing date stipulated in the announcement. Late applications will not be considered.

Type Of Award

Interest-free study loan or half-loan half-grant. No service bond.

Value Of Award(subject to revision from time to time)

For Malaysian universities	- RM10,000/- p.a. for Medicine / Dentistry / Veterinary Medicine - RM9,000/- p.a. for Science based courses - RM8,000/- p.a. for Arts based courses
For Singapore universities	- Up to RM28,000 p.a. for Medicine / Dentistry - Up to RM20,000 p.a. for other courses

Field Of Study

Any discipline but preference will be given to Science-based courses.

Loan Repayment

By monthly instalments commencing one (1) month after completion of course.

B. For Malaysian Private Universities / Colleges

Eligibility	:	Applicants who are applying for or are currently pursuing a fulltime MQA Accredited first degree course undertaken and completed in Malaysia only (including "3+0" foreign degree courses) at selected universities / colleges are eligible to apply. See current list of selected universities / colleges below. This list is subject to change from time to time.
Announcement	:	Will be announced in the respective institutions / local news media around July / August each year.
Application Forms	:	Application forms can be downloaded from here or obtained from the Kuok Foundation’s office. All applications must be submitted before the closing date stipulated in the announcement. Late applications will not be considered.
Type Of Award	:	Interest free study loan or half-loan half-grant. No service bond.
Value Of Award(subject to revision from time to time)	:	Up to a maximum of RM30,000/- p.a. for Medicine Up to a maximum of RM20,000/- p.a. for Pharmacy Up to a maximum of RM16,000/- p.a. for other courses
Field Of Study	:	Preference will be given to students reading Science-based courses.
Loan Repayment	:	By monthly instalments commencing one (1) month after completion of course.
