Applicants of age 35 years and below who have obtained a minimum of Class II Upper Hons in Law or its equivalent from any recognised university and must qualify for admission into University of Malaya for the LLM programme.  Only applicants doing full time studies will be considered.

Will be announced in University of Malaya between April to June each year.

The  scholarship  will  cover  course  fees  as  well as a  stipend of  RM18,000 per annum for living expenses. An additional allowance of RM1,800 will be provided for dissertation, if the scholar opts to pursue LLM by coursework and dissertation or pure dissertation.

The scholarship will be offered for 1 year only to candidates doing LLM by coursework and up to 2 years for candidates doing LLM by coursework and dissertation and up to 3 years for candidates doing LLM by dissertation.

For M.Sc students, not more than 30 years of age and holding a Bachelor's Degree with at least a Second Class Upper Honours or CGPA of 3.5 and above in Science, Engineering or Technology related field.

For Ph.D students, not more than 35 years of age and holding a relevant Masters Degree or a Bachelor's Degree with First Class Honours or CGPA of 3.7 and above in Science, Engineering or Technology related field.

Will be announced in the local news media around June / July each year.

All applications must be submitted before the closing date stipulated in the announcement.  Late applications will not be considered.

Full-time research in engineering, science or technology that is relevant to the country's needs, for example, biotechnology, composite materials, advanced materials, environmental technology, marine & aquaculture technology, poultry & poultry based products and resource-based products.

Upon completion of studies, the scholars must remain in Malaysia to work for the public or private sector for a minimum period of 3 years for M.Sc. and 5 years for Ph.D.
